Rotary Clubs and Edo State Ministry of Environment Celebrate World Earth Day with Tree Planting Exercise

In commemoration of World Earth Day, Rotary Clubs in collaboration with the Edo State Ministry of Environment and Sustainability came together today for a tree planting exercise aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and conservation.
The event, held at 5 Junction, Benin City, saw the participation of Rotarians from various Rotary Clubs, who planted a total of 200 trees comprising 5 different species. The initiative emphasized the importance of supporting the environment and the role each individual can play in safeguarding the planet.
Among the participating Rotary Clubs were RC Benin, RC Benin Greenfield, RC Ekenhuan Icons, RC Benin Aerodrome, RC Ogba Benin, RC Oregbeni Urban, RC Benin King’s Square, RC Benin GRA, RC Uselu, RC New Benin hub, and RC Benin Urban.
The tree planting exercise not only contributed to the beautification of the environment but also served as a symbolic gesture of the collective commitment to creating a greener and more sustainable future for all.
